OK Private Equity Launches

Oklahoma Private Equity News is “launched.” It’s a work in progress, an effort put forth by David L. Perkins, Jr. as a community service. It’s a not-for-profit effort that he hopes will be taken over by Oklahoma private-equity players. He has no desire to control it or direct its activities.

Perkins’ vision is that Oklahoma Private Equity News will play a role in development of the state’s investment, private-equity and entrepreneurial community and culture. He hopes it will help bring together people and ideas. Perkins believes that through discussing ideas, trends, barriers and breakthrough innovation, investment and commercialization in Oklahoma will accelerate.

“Ultimately, by building a more vibrant and robust private-equity community, we’ll attract and retain more talent and capital. The inevitable result will be not only higher economic growth and accumulation of wealth but more dollars available for philanthropic endeavors,” says Perkins.
