By “private equity” we mean any issue related to the purchase, sale, capitalization and management of privately held for-profit companies, generally those with employee counts between 15 and 250.

Although venture capital is an important sector of "private equity" covered to some extent by Oklahoma Private Equity News, the primary focus will be on established private companies. That is, we may write stories about venture-type investments, but we primarily cover such ventures once they are "up and running" and have either reached an employee count of 15 or more or were sold or recapitalized (to the extent such information becomes known by us).
